Beeza Beginnings

We are in the middle of our fourth year of managing a few honey bee hives on our east central Indiana farm. We wanted to find ways for honeybees to thrive amidst our corn and soybean fields so they can continue their magical pollination work for generations to come. 

We are learning very quickly that each year will bring its own unique challenges and surprises. Our experiences to date have reinforced the idea that we must live in harmony with Nature, while we strive for methods to help the bees be as successful as possible. No matter how hard we try to control what happens, Nature has her own ideas of how things will go.
